Hi, I'm Jeremy!

Jeremy

I am a gameplay programmer who also enjoys working on game design. My educational background is in mechanical engineering, having obtained my bachelor's degree in 2017 and my master's degree in 2019. Throughout my coursework I used programming languages like C++ and MATLAB for problem analysis and tool creation. I began making small games in my free time using C++ and Python before learning Game Maker Studio 2 in 2017.

In 2020 I started working toward turning my hobby into a career and began learning Unity. I then teamed up with a few likeminded individuals and worked as lead programmer on a game, XANDO, that released on Steam in 2021. Since then, I've continued working on solo and group projects using Unity, Unreal, and Godot.

When not working on or playing video games, I can be found spending time with friends and family, reading comics, or continuing my never-ending journey to see every Nic Cage movie.

I obtained my BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2017 and my MS in Mechanical Engineering in 2019. During both phases of my education I worked with programming languages such as MATLAB, Verilog, C++, and Arduino. These assignments were always my favorite and led me to pursue video game programming as a hobby in 2017, primarily using Game Maker Studio 2. In 2020 I decided to seriously pursue my childhood dream of being a game developer. I started learning Unity and C#, and despite only using it for a year, I have worked on multiple projects and have quickly exceled due to my analytical background and skills as a fast learner. As I advance my projects, I am constantly honing my skills and am learning new ones. I am excited for the opportunity to work on larger projects with teams of professionals who are excited to make fun games!
